V-Fit MXC1 Exercise Bike Review

V-Fit MCX1 Magnetic Folding Exercise BikeWhilst probably not suitable as a heavy duty spinning bike, the V-Fit folding exercise bike is fantastic value for users who will be exercising two to three times a week.  This is a very cheap exercise bike and for the low price you might expect a flimsy exercise bike.  However, that is not the case with the V-Fit MXC1 magnetic cycle.

V-Fit MXC1 Review

The frame of the V-Fit Folding X Frame Magnetic Cycle is made from chip resistant steel, and the whole bike can be collapsed and folded away with ease – you can slide it under a bed, behind a door, or inside a cupboard.  In total it took us just fifteen minutes to put together from opening the packaging, which is the quickest assembly we’ve ever done on an exercise bike.

Magnetic Resistance Levels

In terms of resistance, which is the measurement of how hard you will have to pedal, then the V-Fit MXC1 comes with a silent drive magnetic resistance system.  This includes eight different resistance settings that can be changed up and down using a dial.  In truth most users will probably keep this exercise bike on the highest settings as the lower ones are very easy and don’t require much effort.

Electronic Monitor to Measure Progress

The electronic exercise monitor is quite basic and will require two AA batteries (which are not included so make sure you have some to hand).  The V-Fit MXC1 exercise bike’s monitor is not complicated to use and you won’t get overwhelmed with different buttons and settings.

V-Fit Electronic MonitorSix Different Data Functions

In fact there are just six different functions and data sets you can access.  These include the ability to measure the amount of calories you have burned, your distance travelled, beats per minute (measured via hand pulse sensors in the handlebars), speed, and time.

For motivational purposes these are great for letting you set yourself daily fitness targets to beat and measure yourself against.

Comfortable and Quiet Exercise Bike

The magnetic resistance means that this is a quiet exercise bike so you can watch TV whilst you work out, or not interrupt anyone else in the household.  The seat is adjustable and padded so as far as comfort goes you can pedal for at least an hour before numb bum syndrome sets in.  To keep you strapped in and secure, the pedals come with straps to wrap around your training shoes.

The maximum user weight is for people under fifteen and half stone, so if you exceed that you will need to shop around for a more sturdy model, or even consider a recumbent exercise bike – all of which can be viewed on the Exercise Bike Planet website.
